Since early 2017, Premier Cru has been a hidden gem on High Street, Sai Ying Pun, offering Hong Kong wine lovers a true taste of France. More than just a shop, we like to think of ourselves as a French wine library, where every bottle tells a story and every visit is a journey through the vineyards of France.

Our shelves proudly showcase the classics: Burgundy, with its elegant Pinot Noir and Chardonnay; Champagne, the ultimate celebration in a glass; and the bold, expressive reds of the Rhône Valley. These regions are the heart of our collection, and we’re passionate about helping you discover their unique character.

But the adventure doesn’t stop there. We also seek out hidden gems from lesser-known regions—crisp whites from the Loire Valley, aromatic delights from Alsace, and sun-kissed reds from Languedoc, to name just a few. If you’re curious, we’re here to guide you toward something new and exciting.

Premier Cru has been lovingly operated for the past three years by John Dewe, the “accidental wine shop owner,” whose passion for wine turned into a calling. For a time, John partnered with Christophe Bonno, bringing even more French expertise to our shelves, until Christophe returned to France. Today, John continues to curate a collection that reflects both tradition and discovery.
